Corporate social responsibility
With offices in 157 countries and a collective workforce of 38,732 people, we recognise the scale of our impact on social issues in and outside our profession, our responsibility to the environment and the communities we operate in across the globe. That is why Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is so important to us, and why CSR is embedded in our HLB network strategy Shaping our shared future. HLB CSR initiatives empower us to reach the goals we’re committed to in creating a more inclusive and sustainable future.
CSR strategy
Our CSR strategy looks beyond company profits. It enables us to power an inclusive, sustainable future for all HLB people and our ecosystem by focusing on three strategic pillars:
Diversity and inclusion (D&I)
At HLB, we believe that creating a corporate culture that is diverse and inclusive boosts innovation and employee engagement. We aim to provide the best opportunities for our people and attract and retain top talent to ultimately provide a top-quality service to our clients. We champion D&I by:
- Engaging in D&I related conversations
- Being an advocate for workplace flexibility
- Facilitating talent mobility programs for our members
- Promoting leadership behaviour that fosters an inclusive workplace environment where diversity can thrive
The environment
The climate crisis is one of the most pressing issues of our time. That is why we are working with our people to understand, track and quantify our environmental impact. Our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint will include:
- Reducing business travel
- Reducing energy usage in our offices
- Recycling, reducing waste, going paperless
Communities
Giving back to the communities we serve and operate in has always been an important part of our organisation. Together we help our communities by:
- Donating
- Volunteering
- Offering pro bono services
